This week we have been doing Antarctica study.

Team 4 Week 5

Today we went to the hockey turf in Greymouth for athletics. We did the 60 metres, 80 metres, 100 metres and 1200 metres. I came second in the 80 metres and 3rd equal in the 60 metres.

We have also been doing Titanic

Sport

On Wednesday we went do to Anzac park to do athletics. We left school at 1:00 and got there at about 1:30.Then when we got there we got ready and started. After all the sports had Finnish we left about 6:00.


Maths

For maths this week we done maths P.A.T test.

Here is an example  of my writing Paragraphs

A good friend will respect you. Friends can show you respect by listening to you and not talking while you talk, not just nodding your head and pretending to listen. Friends hear what you are saying and care about what it is.They won't tell everybody you pass words for everything like Facebook,Instagram etc. The will not hurt you lots of times and give you lots of cuts and bruises.

Country Study

This week we have started our country study which the class is very excited about, especially Reid.  I have chosen to study Mexico. Here is some of the information I have found so far....

Mexican flag is full of national symbolism. The green stripe represents the Independence Movement. The white stripe represents the purity of the Catholic faith. The red stripe represents the Spaniards that joined in the quest for Independence and the blood of the national heroes.

The next thing that I am working on is the food.

Maths 
For maths Mitchell and I went to do our goal averages to see what are shooting averages. Here they are.

For writing we have been doing paragraphs. Here mine are.

Topic Sentences for our Paragraphs

Topic Sentence 1: Temperature needs to be low for snow to form.

For it to snow the temperatures have to be low. The temperatures have to be about 0 to anything else. But before it snows it does start to sleat. If it does start to sleat you have 50% of it snowing.

Topic Sentence 2: There must not be a lot of moisture in the air for snow to happen.

The moisture in the air has to be low for it to snow. When it is low it will start to sleet then snow like i explain in the first paragraph. But when there is a lot of moisture in the air it will not snow.

Topic Sentence 3: What is snow made from

Snow is made up of crystals of ice. The snowflakes start out very small and grow. Each snowflake is different and can have about 200 crystals in each snowflake.

Art

For art we did tie dye tops. They looked liked this.

Term 3 Week and 2 Reflection

Reading 
For reading we have been reading a chapter book named Once. Once is a book about a boy named Felix who lives in a Orphanage and he thinks his parents are alive so he gos and trys and find them.

 


Maths
For maths we have been printing of Cartoon characters and then measuring them up and then enlarge them. In enlarging mine by four.
